Acu4GL

Acu4GL provides seamless access to RDBMSs from new or existing applications written in , ACUCOBOL®-GT or ACUCOBOL®-85 by dynamically generating SQL queries. With Acu4GL, users can benefit from RDBMS technology without learning SQL, rewriting applications, or retraining. Applications need to be compiled only once.

Acu4GL eliminates the need to add embedded SQL to existing COBOL programs. Instead, industry-standard COBOL I/O verbs generate SQL (behind the scenes) to access the database. This bi-directional information exchange allows end-users to utilize fourth-generation report writers and query tools while retaining the use of their COBOL application. Acu4GL supports Oracle, Informix, Sybase, MS-SQL server and a number of ODBC compliant databases suchas MS-Acess and Excel Spreadsheets.
